Railway Compensation For Death: Railways said on Sunday (June 4) that those who were traveling without tickets have also been included in the accident victims in Odisha. Passengers without tickets will also be compensated. Officials said that this will be done as per the order of the Supreme Court.

Senior Railway officials answering questions on 139

Jaya Verma Sinha said that senior railway officials on helpline number 139 are answering questions and trying to connect with as many people as possible. They said, "Family members of the injured or deceased can call us and we will make sure they can meet them. We will take care of their travel and other expenses."

‘Rs 10 lakh in case of death’

Railways also said that 139 service would continue uninterrupted and ensured prompt disbursement of ex-gratia announced by the Railway Minister – Rs 10 lakh in case of death, Rs 2 lakh for serious injuries and Rs 50,000 for minor injuries will.
